State Bar of Georgia Membership

By order of the Supreme Court of Georgia (219 GA 873 and subsequent amendments) you are required (before engaging in the practice of law) to register with the State Bar and to pay the prescribed license fees.

The State Bar may recognize as affiliates, without the rights and privileges of membership, members of the legal profession not authorized to practice law in Georgia, but who are licensed to practice law in another state or the District of Columbia, and are in good standing in all jurisdictions in which they are licensed.
